Already we are into February and after months of preparation for the ADCI Full Length Circuit, 2017, groups will be putting the finishing touches to their shows and festivals will be ensuring that all is in place for another successful circuit. Starting in Rush Drama Festival on 23 February, Curtain Call Productions will open proceeedings with Closer by Patrick Maber, while on the same night, Newtownstewart Drama Festival gets underway when Clanabogan Drama Circle present Stella By Starlight. The preliminary circuit will end on 8th April at North Cork Drama Festival with the current RTE All Ireland Drama Festival winners, Bridge Drama, presenting An Inspector Calls by JB Priestly.
This year the All Ireland Confined Drama Finals will be hosted by The Western Drama Festival at St Bridget’s Hall, Tubbercurry, 21 – 29, April and adjudicated by Imelda Mc Donagh. As always the RTE All Ireland Drama Festival will take place at The Dean Crowe Theatre, Athlone from Thursday 4th – Friday 12 May and Final presentation of Awards on Saturday 13 May and adjudicated by Geoff O’Keeffe.
