The RTE All Ireland Drama Festival, 2015 recently came to an exciting conclusion, when Palace Players, Fermoy were crowned All Ireland Winners with their production of Tom Murphy’s Conversations On A Homecoming. The Production was directed by Liam Howard who also won the Best Director Award. Mary Flavin as Missus was also rewarded with the Best Supporting Actress Award.

In second place was Estuary Players with their production of The Drawer Boy by Michael Healey. Estuary also took the Award for Best Stage Setting (Vincent Donohoe) and the Award for Best Lighting (Brian Nutely).

In third place was Ballyduff Drama Group with their production of Takin’ Over The Asylum by Donna Franceschild. Killian Collins was the winner of the Gormanstown Summer School Scholarship for his role as Campbell and Michael Mulligan won the ADCI/DLI Summer School Scholarship for his role as Hector.

The Abbey Award was won by Shoestring Theatre Company with their production of Trad by Mark Doherty.

Congratulations to all the finalists and to Festival Director Joe Mc Carrick and all his team for yet another extremely successful All Ireland Festival. ADA was delighted to contribute to the Festival Fringe, when Michael Twomey presented his talk on the Life and Works of Oscar Wilde to a most appreciative audience.
