The sense of excitement was palpable in The Radisson Hotel on Saturday 7 May, 2016 as the assembled gathering met to hear the announcements of awards. As usual the Athlone committee under the direction of JOE MC CARRICK ensured that a memorable night was had by all.
ADA extends its congratulations to the nine groups, to all the individual award winners, to adjudicator, PADRAIC MC INTYRE who delivered with aplomb and of course to BRIDGE DRAMA who were crowned RTE All Ireland Drama Festival Winners with their production of Neil Simon’s Lost In Yonkers.
The 2017 RTE All Ireland Drama Festival will run from 4th – 12 May with the awards ceremony on Saturday May 13th and will be adjudicated by GEOFF O’KEEFFE, ADA.

Best Actor: Brendan Dunlea of Palace Players for playing Irishman in The Gigli Concert

Best Actor in a Supporting Role: Colin Malone of Prosperous Dramatic Society for playing Alfie in One Man, Two Guvnors
