Following an extensive preliminary circuit, the nine groups who have successfully qualified for The All Ireland Confined Drama Final, 2016 are ironing out last minute details, as they prepare for the trip to Monaghan where the final is being hosted by Castleblaney Drama Festival at the beautiful Iontas Theatre. The final this year has quite the international line up with the work of writers, Neil Simon, Marsha Norman, Mark Medoff, Amanda Whittington and David Auburn make the cut. Closer to home, Irish playwrights are represented by Frank Mc Guinness, Tom Murphy and Mike Finn. Martin Mc Donagh straddles both the Irish and the International camp!
ADA wishes all the groups, the hosts Castleblaney Drama festival and the audiences a wonderful nine nights of drama. We also send our very best wishes to our member colleague Anna Walker, who adjudicates the final this year. Good luck Anna!
